Whose Report Do You Believe?

We all know that we need to take better control of our health and fitness.  We tell ourselves that we will start exercising and eat better on Monday, but when Monday arrives we come  up with an abundance  of reasons why we cannot begin.  Can you relate?  Many times the reasons are rooted in how we “feel”….tired, stiff, sore, etc.  There is not a day that goes by that we are not riddled with some ache, pain, or ailment that wants to sideline us from beginning and completing our daily fitness goals.  These goals include  protecting and tending to our bodies, which are the temple of the Holy Spirit….It’s our duty.

Throughout my 20 plus years as a health and fitness professional, I have heard all the reasons in the world why people cannot join an exercise class or engage in activities that can and will enhance their overall well being.  My word to you is to focus on making an effort and not an excuse.  Isaiah 53:1 poses a serious question….Whose report do you believe?  If God says that by Christ’s stripes you WERE healed, then you ARE.  Don’t accept your wishy-washy “feelings” that lie to you every time you attempt to make changes in your health.   Unfortunately, there are no magic pills, or “dieting and exercise free” plans to lose weight and get healthy.

I’m not endorsing the fact that sickness and disease exist, but what I am proclaiming is that God sent His Only and His Best to eliminate their hold over those who believe in Him.  When we make  decisions to take care of our bodies and ultimate health, and we feel the aches and pains of everyday life creep up, commit your actions to the Lord,  tell Him how you're feeling physically, and incorporate the help of Holy Spirit to get you through.  Be reminded that you have already been healed, and tell your body this repeatedly if necessary, until the task of your exercise routine is complete.

Sickness, pain, disease is a reality for us all, but Jesus conquered it all.  His name is greater and more powerful than anything or anyone that contends with us.

P.S. - While movement is medicine, working out while experiencing pain requires careful consideration. Minor muscle soreness, especially after a new or intensified workout, is normal and often temporary. However, sharp pain, persistent pain, or pain that worsens during exercise needs attention. In such cases, it's best to reduce intensity, modify exercises, or rest and potentially seek professional advice.

Our fitness classes will resume starting on September 8th. Attached is our detailed class flier.
